Man’s body discovered at address on Upper Bond Street yesterday morning

A MAN’S body was discovered at an address in Hinckley yesterday morning (Tuesday, 21 June).

Shortly after 11.30am Hinckley Police were called to an address on Upper Bond Street by East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS), after the body of a man was discovered.

In a statement, officers have confirmed that there are not any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

As a result of the incident, three police vehicles and one forensics investigations van parked up outside the Upper House flats on the road.

They remained at the address until the afternoon.

Around 2pm, an officer who was out on the beat had told the Hinckley Free Press that they were in the process of investigating “an ongoing incident.”

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police, said: “The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for HM Coroner.

“Due to previous police contact with the man, a referral is being made to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).”
