HINCKLEY and Bosworth volunteers who ‘make a real difference’ have been honoured at an annual award ceremony.

36 winners were handed awards at Hinckley Council’s ‘Making a Difference’ awards at Hinckley Rugby Club.
There were across four different categories – “Contributing to Local Heritage Culture”, “Individuals and Groups who Create a Sense of Community Pride”, “Protecting Our Community Environment”, and “Young Volunteers”.
Coun. Michael Mullaney, Executive Member for the Voluntary Sector, praised all nominees, saying: “It’s inspiring to see people who have given decades of service alongside those just starting their volunteering journey. Every nominee deserves recognition for strengthening our community.”
All 36 winners will be spotlighted on the council’s social media accounts this festive period.
A spokesperson for Hinckley Council added: “Congratulations to everyone who won an award.”
