A YOUNG woman in her 20’s was sexually assaulted at a nightclub in Nuneaton last month (14 October), according to Warwickshire Police in a new CCTV image appeal.

The incident took place on the first floor of an unnamed nightclub on Newdegate Street in the nearby town centre at around 11.30pm in a sexual assault incident.

On the night, the woman was sat near the bar, when a man came across on his own, went behind her, and touched her inappropriately, before walking away.

This has prompted the force to share CCTV imagery of a man who they believe may have information regarding the incident, as it could help with their investigation.

A spokesperson for Warwickshire Police said: “Officers are keen to speak to the man pictured below as they believe he may have information, which could help with the investigation. They would also like anyone who was in the area at the time or who witnessed the incident to come forward.”

Anyone who recognises the man, or the man himself, is being encouraged to contact the force through their website, or by calling the non-emergency number of 101.
