Hinckley and Bosworth borough council bosses said on social media the market will not be operational due to ‘strong’ gusts of winds being forecast for the day.
In past times, during bad weather conditions, traders who operate from their trailers have still been able to set up on the market as usual. But, there is no word on if this will still be the case tomorrow.
According to the BBC, the Met Office have issued a ‘yellow’ weather warning for the day across the Midlands, from 4am to 6pm, simply stressing: “Storm Debi has the potential to bring very strong and disruptive winds on Monday.”
A council spokesperson issued a statement to town-goers, further urging them to ‘keep safe’. They said: “Hinckley market has been cancelled tomorrow (Monday 13 November) due to the strong winds forecast. Sorry for any inconvenience. Keep safe everyone.”
