Police Constable Matthew Cooper, who patrols Nuneaton Town and Central, made the news known today (Thursday, 9 November), in an alert shared on Warwickshire Connected, which is a free messaging service from police directly to residents.

In it, he stated that the squatters were living in a property based on Coronation Court in Mount Street, on the corner of Upper Queens Road, and that they had received reports from residents “regarding a property causing anti-social behaviour”.

Following the reports, members of the Nuneaton Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT), in collaboration with colleagues from Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council (NBBC), evicted the squatters and secured the property officially with a property closure.

The entrance was blocked with a steel frame in place of the door, pictured top.
