It quietly relocated into the former Causer Foods, near Post Office, on Abbey Street last Wednesday (2 November), where it was opened by volunteers and managers, following the closure of its former Bridge Street premises which shut in October.

As we previously reported, shop units across both Bridge Street and Church Street are set to be demolished under the borough council’s ‘Bridge to Living’ project.

This has prompted a number of retailers to re-locate, as Nuneaton Beds and Sofas have opened in the former Pizza Hut, Keri-Anns are now on the market, Creative Nails are in the bus station, and a furniture shop have since set up shop in the Abbeygate.

News of the re-location was announced in advance. A sign posted in the windows read: “We are moving. Our new Cancer Research UK shop will be located at 132 Abbey Street, Nuneaton, CV11 5BZ and will be open on Thursday, 2nd November.”

It is open from 9am to 5.30pm from Monday through to Saturday. On Sunday, it is open with slightly different hours, of 10am to 4pm.
