COMMUNITY GROUPS, charities, and sports clubs in the Blaby district are being encouraged to apply for funding from the council’s ‘Community Grants Scheme’.

The groups can apply for the latest round of funding in the scheme, as it is now open for application, with grants available ranging from £500 and going up to £4,000 total.
As well as the normal funding categories, ‘additional’ funding has also been made available for any organisations who are running ‘warm spaces’ this winter.
Previously, the last round of grant funding seen £13,054.05 awarded to 13 different organisations. Further information, such as how to apply, can be found through a portal on the authority’s website.
Any applications must be submitted before 5pm on Wednesday, 29 November, which you can find at this link.
Coun. Nigel Grundy, the council’s Portfolio Holder for Neighbourhood Services and Assets, said: “If you have a project which will benefit the wider community then why not see if you could be eligible for funding from our Community Grants Scheme.
“The scheme continues to make such a difference to the lives of so many people in the District and we are proud to be able to help our residents help one another.”
