HINCKLEY’S newest town centre dessert parlour have confirmed their opening date.

As we reported last month, Upper Castle Street’s former Carpet Centre has been undergoing internal transformation works to become a new dessert parlour, named ‘Dessert Lounge’, with contractors hard at work inside carrying out decoration works.
Since then, activity has been spotted inside, with the tills, chairs, tables, and wallpaper all being fitted and installed, helping breathe a brand new lease of life into the unit.
And now, owner Faisal Mukhtar, has revealed to the Hinckley Free Press that it is set to open to the public with an official ‘grand opening’ this Saturday (4 November).
According to their recently launched Facebook page, they specialise in desserts, ice cream, and gelato, as well as “making memories sweeter” for their customers.
It is set to open at 1pm on Saturday, 4 November, with a 50 per cent discount being honoured to those who head on down, and free gelato being served up to children.
This marks the town’s newest dessert parlour after Regent Street’s former Waffles Emporium quietly closed, and re-located into an eatery near Hinckley bus station.
