The new warning comes from the force following two recent reports of the same delivery driver being targeted by masked men in the area, who both pushed the driver out of the way, before unloading parcels from the delivery van into their own vehicles.
The same company was targeted in both of the incidents. And now, the force are “working closely” with the unnamed company’s security advisors to find out more.
A spokesperson for Nuneaton and Bedworth Police, said: “We are also asking all members of the public to keep an eye out for their local delivery drivers, and if they see any suspicious behaviour around their vans to make a report to the police as soon as possible.”
Anyone who notices an incidents can report it through a portal on the police website, or by calling the non-emergency number of 101, and 999 in an emergency.
Alternatively, details can be passed on anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
