A MAN and woman have been charged with shoplifting offences after Lego has been reported stolen from a shop in Nuneaton.

The Lego, worth £1,700 in total, was reported as stolen from an unnamed shop in the town on two separate occasions – Saturday, 21 October, and Sunday, 22 October.
Abbey Street residents Sarah Vernon, aged 40, and Jacob Porter, aged 32, were both arrested at their home on Sunday, the very same day as the second instance.
In a statement seen by the Hinckley Free Press, a spokesperson for Warwickshire Police confirmed they were arrested “on suspicion of two counts of shoplifting each.”
And, after being arrested by response officers, they were charged with two counts of theft each, and remanded in custody, to appear in court at Coventry Magistrates Court today (Tuesday, 24 October).
