Hinckley Council holding free ‘repairs and advice’ event in Markfield for tenants

HINCKLEY and Bosworth borough council are holding a free event for council tenants early next week, with advice on how to sort repairs in their properties locally.

It is taking place at the Markfield Community Centre on Leicester Road, next Tuesday (24 October), for a total of three hours, from 10am through to 1pm.

Anyone can simply turn up, as no registration is needed. And, free refreshments will be offered out to those in attendance.

Borough council staff will be on hand to offer out advice and information on keeping warm, as well as how to tackle mould and damp, as well as any other services.

In a statement seen by the Hinckley Free Press, a council spokesperson said: “Tenants will be able to meet with a range of staff to access information and advice on keeping homes warm and keeping damp and mould at bay, as well as support with rent and bills, repairs appointments, energy efficiency and cost saving tips.”

Markfield is based in the Hinckley and Bosworth district, and is just a 26 minute drive from Hinckley. Those wanting to travel down by car can do so by using the following address: Markfield Community Centre, Leicester Road, Markfield, LE67 9ST.
