A PUB in the Stockingford area of Nuneaton have rubbished rumours saying that they are permanently closing their doors to punters, which have been circulating recently.

The White Lion, located on Croft Road, have laid the false rumours to rest in a social media statement shared on Facebook yesterday evening (Thursday, 3 August).
In it, the publican, Deborah Moreman, stressed that the boozer is not closing, nor is she leaving, or putting it up for sale.
She said: “For the past few weeks, rumours have been going around. I think it’s time to put a stop to all this. The White Lion Stockingford is not closing or up for sale, nor am I going.
“Sometimes, the pressure of the job juggling and every bill makes you want to pack up and say ‘had enough’. But, with a very supportive family and brilliant friends stopping me throwing my dummy out, I’m staying.”
Some punters said they had not even heard the rumours, but they continued to share messages of support with the staff regardless, with many telling them to “keep going”.
