A FABRIC retailer has permanently closed their store on Newdegate Street – but they have not completely pulled out of the town centre.

Fabric Mungur first opened in September last year inside the former Evans Jewellers, after receiving support off the borough council, with the council leader saying it had gone from ‘strength to strength’ upon launch.

It traded every Wednesday and Saturday, to coincide with the trading days of Nuneaton and Bedworth market respectively, so that town-goers could use the shop and explore the market stalls on the same days.

But, in recent weeks, the Hinckley Free Press noticed that the storefront signage had quietly been removed, and the shutters had been pulled down.

Shop owner Jun confirmed to the Free Press that the shop is now permanently closed, but they are now trading from the town’s market stalls once again – something they did years prior to opening.

He simply said: “We have closed the shop permanently, but we have gone back to work on the markets in Nuneaton and Bedworth on Tuesday and Wednesday, as this is what we did for years before having the shop, so we are still around.”
