Nuneaton man, 30, arrested and charged in in connection with town centre shop theft

A NUNEATON man has been arrested and charged in connection with a shop theft.

Ashley Halfacree, 30, of Lexington Court, Upper Abbey Street, was detained in Market Place on Wednesday afternoon (21 June), and later charged with theft the same day.

This follows another theft incident which was reported back in January earlier this year, where items were reported stolen from a premises inside of the Ropewalk shopping centre on Chapel Street.

In a media statement, a spokesperson for Warwickshire Police made it known that he is set to appear in court in Leamington Spa for a hearing next month.

The statement simply reads: “Ashley will appear in Warwickshire Magistrates Court on 7 July for his first hearing.”
