The Mallory Mile was held on Monday evening (5 June) and seen hundreds of residents, including families and community groups, bring their bikes on down to the Mallory Park Circuit to cycle for leisure, or fundraise for good causes.

It was arranged by Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council (HBBC) in association with the Mallory Park Racing Real Motorsport Limited, the team who are responsible for running the cycling at the circuit.

Attendees also had the opportunity to meet Wheels for All, and try their ‘fantastic’ range of adapted bikes.

Other notable organisations who shown up included Leicestershire County Council’s “Choose How You Move” team, and representatives from Leicestershire Police, Places Leisure, and Burbage Charity Bikes.

Deputy Leader for Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council, Coun. Mark Bools, said: “It was fantastic to see so many people coming out to take their bike for a spin in such a safe and secure environment.

“Cycling is a great method of exercise and suitable for all ages and my thanks go to Mallory Circuit and all those involved in organising such a great evening.”
