TWO YOUNG WOMEN were struck with glass bottles in Hinckley town centre during the early hours when they were on a night out.

Leicestershire Police said the women, in their 20’s, were hit with the bottles in Market Place during the early hours on Saturday, 27 May, just one week and four days ago.
Following initial enquiries, two other women were arrested on suspicion on assault causing actual bodily harm, and using threatening words or behaviour likely to cause harm on stress. But, they have both been released on bail since.
A witness appeal has been launched by the Police Constable for any footage – “no matter how insignificant it may be”, as this can help with the force’s investigation.
PC Mollie Dabell, the investigating officer, said: “While two people have been arrested in connection with this incident, I’m still keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened and might be able to help.
I am particularly keen to speak to anyone with mobile phone or dashcam footage.
“Anything you’re able to provide, no matter how insignificant you think it is, could assist us.”
