Officers were called on down to Nuneaton Road at 6.45pm last Sunday (9 April), after they had received reports of anti-social behaviour taking place in the pub car park.

Once they descended on down to the scene, several people left the area and a number of nitrous oxide canisters were spotted – which led to a ‘misuse of drugs search’ being conducted in a nearby van by the force.

They subsequently discovered a quantity of suspected Class A drugs in the front of the van, along with keys to other vehicles and open containers of alcohol.

They searched the back of the van, where they found 35 boxes of nitrous oxide, with each box containing six bottles of the gas – meaning they found 210 bottles in total.

The vehicle was removed from the car park, the boxes were seized, and enquiries into the incident are currently ongoing.

Anyone with information is being asked to pass details on by using the ‘Report a crime’ portal on the force’s website, or by calling the non-emergency number of 101, and quoting incident 254 of 9 April.
