A ROAD in Desford, near Hinckley, is to close for three days starting tomorrow.

Peckleton Lane will be temporarily closed from tomorrow (3 April) to Thursday (6 April), so that water firm Severn Trent and their contractors can carry out repair works on an inspection chamber.

A proposed alternative diversion route has been put in place by Leicestershire County Council.

It is via High Street, Leicester Lane, Desford; Leicester Lane, Kirby Muxloe; Hinckley Road; Thurlaston, Hinckley Road, Leicester Forest West; Dans Lane, Peckleton; Peckleton Lane, Desford and vice versa.

When the roads are closed for the works, the alternative routes to all traffic can be viewed online through the one.network traffic map.
