A USED BED and bags of cement are amongst the many items included in a recent fly-tip in Thurlaston.

The large fly-tip was brazenly discarded irresponsibly and illegally on Watery Gate Lane, near Hinckley.
Photographs of the mess were shared by Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council (HBBC) on their social media five days ago (27 March), where it was first reported to the authority by a resident.
The mound of mess is made up of two plastic toy cars, large containers, various pieces of scrap material, a bed, bags of cement, cardboard and textiles, black bags, and cardboard boxes,
And now, a spokesperson for the borough council has urged anyone with details on the individual responsible to pass on any information.
They said: “Can you help us find who fly-tipped this rubbish at Watery Gate Lane? A number of items were dumped at the site, including toy cars, a bed, bags of cement, cardboard and textiles. If you can help us find who did this, please DM (direct message) the page, or call 01455 238141.”
Fly-tipping is a criminal offence, and a result, the Clean Neighbourhood Team can dish out Fixed Penalty Notices to fly-tippers. If caught, they will be slapped with a fine of £400 upfront, but this can be dropped down to £200 if early payments are made within 10 days.
If you spot anybody fly-tipping, or traces of any fly-tipped mess in the borough, it should be reported to the Borough Council online, which can be done so on their official website.
