It is housed inside the former Barclays bank. Construction works started back in January, meaning the transformation from bank to coffee shop took three months.

14 new jobs have been created by K Beverage, who are responsible for operating the new site and bringing Starbucks back to town, after being away for 13 years.

In past times, from 2007 to 2009, Starbucks had a previous site on Market Place, in what is now occupied by The Time Cafe and Bar.

‘Excited to open’

“We are excited to open our new store and look forward to welcoming the Nuneaton community”, said Mohit Kadyan, K Beverage’s Operations Manager.

He added: “To celebrate, we will be offering goody bags to the first 100 customers and hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony with the first customer on the opening day.”

Customers who head on down on the grand opening day are being invited to enjoy a brand new drink – the Iced Toasted Vanilla Oat Shaken Espresso. They will also be able to try Starbucks Eggs Bites, with Red Pepper and Spinach.

The store sports a “contemporary design”, which offer customers the opportunity to enjoy a cup of coffee and relax in comfortable seating with their free WiFi.

Orders can be placed through the Starbucks UK app, which can be downloaded on all Android and iPhones.

Those wanting to have coffee delivered to their doors at home, or desk at work, can do so by using popular food delivery platforms Just Eat, Uber Eats, and Deliveroo.

Starbucks will offer a discount of 25p discount to all customers who bring a reusable cup when purchasing a drink.

Starbucks are committed to 100 per cent ethically sourced coffee in partnership with Conservation International. A brand spokesperson stated this is “the cornerstone of their ethical sourcing approach to buying coffee, and the Coffee and Farmer Equity (C.A.F.E.) Practices”.

The new store will open from 8am to 6pm from Monday to Saturdays, and 9am to 5pm on Sundays.
