NUNEATON Town Hall will be illuminated with the Ukrainian flag colours this Friday (24 February), to pay respect to Ukraine after a year of being invaded by Russia.

The Council offices on Coton Road, will be lit up with bright blue and yellow colours for the duration of the weekend – from Saturday (25 February) and Sunday (26 February).
It will mark one of the two tributes to Ukraine being reflected this week – with the first being a one minute silence being observed this Friday (24 February) at 11am.
“This moment will pay tribute to the bravery of Ukrainians and highlight the UK’s solidarity with the country, as they continue their courageous fight”, explained a spokesperson for the Town Hall.
The Council Leader for Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, Coun. Kris Wilson, added: “We stand with our nation to pay tribute to the brave people of Ukraine and show solidarity with them as they
continue their fight.
“Illuminating our Town Hall and taking part in the minute’s silence is the least we can do to pay our respects and we hope that you will join us in a show of solidarity.”
