Warwickshire Police officers confirmed on Monday (20 February) that a man has been charged following a fly-tipping incident which took place last September in Ansley, North Warwickshire, near Galley Common.

29-year-old Callum Smith, of Brights Road in the Camp Hill area of Nuneaton, was arrested after the incident was captured on video near Brook House Farm.

“Smith was charged with depositing without an environmental permit controlled or extractive waste on land”, explained a force spokesperson speaking on the charge.

They further confirmed that Smith is to appear in the courts next week.

He is set to appear at Warwickshire Magistrates Court in Royal Leamington Spa next Friday (3 March).
