The energy, money, and wellbeing event has been organised by Barwell Parish Council – and it is will be held on Thursday, 9 March, from 10.30am to 1pm at the Jubilee Hall, just off Byron Close.

A whole host of different organisations, such as Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council (HBBC), Leicestershire County Council (LCC), Leicestershire Police, Family Care Advice, Zinthiya Trust, and Honey Pure & Simple Planning, will be on hand to offer informal and friendly advice,

The organisations will give a range of help to residents who are concerned or curious on many issues as a part of the ongoing crisis, such as household budgeting, managing debt, fraud advice, energy bills, fuel bills, housing costs, welfare advice, health, wellbeing and support, just to name a few.

Hot soup and rolls will be handed out to attendees.

Barwell Parish Council’s Vice Chair, Coun. Mathew Hulbert, chairs the authority’s Voluntary Sector Working Group, which organised the event.

He said: “At what is a tough time for many people, the Parish Council is pleased to be able to hold this important event to provide timely and friendly help and advice to residents.

“I’d like to thank the many organisations who’ve worked with us and who will be represented on the day, fellow councillors, and the Council’s Clerk and Deputy Clerk for all of their hard work.

“As a parish council, we always seek to do what we can, at the most local level, to help people with the issues and challenges they may face.

“We look forward to giving villagers a warm welcome on Thursday, 9 March.”
