Temporary road closure on Stockwell Head next Monday evening

A ROAD in Hinckley town centre is to temporarily close next Monday evening (20 February).

The temporary road closure will be in place on Stockwell Head, so that local water firm Severn Trent Water and their contractors are able to carry out water repair works on the road.

The closure will be in place from 7pm on Monday evening, until 3am on Tuesday, 21 February, meaning it will be fully re-open by Tuesday morning.

Members of Leicestershire County Council’s Highways Team were made aware of the planned closure in advance, and gave it the ‘thumbs up’ as a public safety measure whilst the works are underway.

Two-way traffic control signals will be in place whilst it is being used as a work zone, with “delays likely”.

According to online traffic map one.network, a detour route is in place on New Buildings.
