Last Wednesday (25 January), at 7.59pm, burglars forced their way into a property on Bute Close in Hollycroft, where they made off with a quantity of cash, and jewellery – including rings and earrings.

Now, Hinckley Police detectives have launched a public appeal over the stolen goods, and have urged anybody with details to come forward and pass them on to officers.

Jill Turner, Investigative Support Assistant for Hinckley CID, who is investigating the case, said: “The property is located within an estate and CCTV we’ve obtained so far shows a number of vehicles and dog walkers passing around that time.

“I’d like to speak to any residents who saw or heard anyone acting in a manner that seemed unusual or suspicious or which caught their attention.

“I’d also like to speak to anyone who has seen or been offered any of the items of jewellery pictured for sale. Any information you’re able to provide could help.”

This can be reported through the ‘Report a crime’ portal on the force’s website with crime reference number 23*51354, or by calling the non-emergency number of 101 using the same crime reference.

Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
