Many eagle-eyed town-goers have recently spotted that Mind Furniture, based on Castle Street next to the RSPCA charity shop, is not open and trading as per usual.

This has prompted bosses to post a sign in the window explaining that it is in the process of undergoing a refurbishment – and it is on track to open early next year.

It has also been made known that shop volunteers will still pick-up any donations.

The sign reads as follows: “Shop closed for refit, but we still collect donations.

“Our Hinckley furniture shop will be closed from Saturday 24 December 2022 until early February 2023 for a refit.

“We can still pick-up your donation: Call 01455 633490 Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm to book in any collections.”
