AN OPENING date for Hinckley’s brand new 24-hour gym has finally been revealed.

National gym operator, The Gym Group, who are setting up on Hawley Road in the former Lidl supermarket opposite the Hinckley Hub, will open in two weeks’ time.

They will officially open their doors to keen gym-goers for the first time on Tuesday, 20 December at midday.

But, those wanting to take a glimpse inside before the opening are able to do so on Monday, 12 December, where they can catch a ‘sneak peek’ of how it will look inside.

The Gym Group’s website states that the gym is to be fitted out with “top kit”, including a wide range of high-spec equipment. Free classes will be held, and ‘knowledgeable’ personal trainers will be on hand to help users inside.

New members will be welcomed with an introductory price of £12.99 a month for the first free months, but the regular price will be £19.99 each month.

It was back in mid-May that the plans for the former Lidl shop were made known.

Work has been ongoing since May, where new bright blue ‘Gym Group’ signage was installed, and two other units were created in part of the former discount shop, helping to make it look completely unrecognisable from its last lease of life.

The tenants poised to take on the other units include a kitchen and bathroom showroom and e-cigarette retailer – these are Pochins and Best 4 E-Cigs.
