It was earlier this week when Nuneaton town-goers had initially noticed that the shutters at Subway had suddenly been pulled down without any prior warning.

As well as this, the branch was removed from Subway’s online ‘Store Finder’ and their listings on Uber Eats and Just Eat were taken down for good around the same time.

This was also the case for Subway’s Horeston Grange branch adjacent to the Co-operative supermarket on the Horeston Grange Retail Park.

The Hinckley Free Press reached out to a Subway stores spokesperson about this, who confirmed that the branch has closed ‘indefinitely’ and shall not be re-opening.

They explained: “Subway® can confirm that the Harefield Road restaurant has now closed indefinitely. However, Guests in Nuneaton can still enjoy their favourite Subs from one of 4 remaining restaurants in Nuneaton. Please find your nearest Subway using our store locator at subway.com/en-gb/findastore.”

Now, the nearest Subway stores to the town centre which remain open and trading are located on Queens Road and inside of the Ropewalk Shopping Centre.

Additionally, there is a Subway branch in the Bermuda Park leisure complex and a Subway outlet inside of the Stoneycroft Service Station on Lutterworth Road.
