A BRAND NEW chicken restaurant look to be heading to a flagship Crescent shop.

That is according to a new job vacancy quietly posted on Leisure Jobs, showing that Slim Chickens, a Southern-style American chicken restaurant, are looking for a General Manager for a site in Hinckley’s Crescent shopping and leisure complex.

In a different fashion to many other Crescent eateries, it will be based inside of the Crescent’s flagship Sainsbury’s shop, but the exact location of the outlet is unknown.

The job listing description explains that their ‘Restaurant Hub’ concept, which Slim Chickens forms part of, will “bring together a collection of brands from our Boparan Restaurant Group portfolio to a Sainsbury’s near you.”
At present, the chain have already set up in four former Sainsbury’s Cafe locations across the UK. Their four sites include Sydenham, Selly Oak, Wolverhampton, and their newest site in Crayford is “opening soon”.
Sainsbury’s in The Crescent have been without an in-store eatery since it quietly closed their doors to customers earlier this year. It has been boarded off since then, with white security hoardings still currently boarding off access to the dining area.
Those interested in the vacancy have just six days to apply as it will expire on Thursday, 1 December.
The Hinckley Free Press have reached out to Sainsbury’s, The Restaurant Hub, and Slim Chickens, but received no comment from either at the time of publication (Friday, 25 November).
This comes at a time when Hinckley’s branch of Sticky Sisters, owned by London-based franchisee Karali Group have seemingly closed their doors for good.
