HINCKLEY TOWN-GOERS are being invited to ring in the festive spirit early by singing some Christmas carols as part of the annual service in the Market Place.

Hinckley and Bosworth’s very own singing Mayor, Coun. Dawn Glenville, will gather around the Christmas Tree with attendees for the 45 minute special service from 4.15pm to 5pm on Friday, 9 December, in two weeks’ time.
The event has been arranged by Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council (HBBC) alongside Churches Together, and it will be led by Rev. Simon Wearn, who serves as Rector of the Holy Trinity Church, which is based on Cleveland Road in Hinckley.
Well-known carols will be sang by the congregation – and they’ll be accompanied by local schools, and even musicians from Stoney Stanton’s Living Rock Church.
Coun. Keith Nichols, the Borough Council’s Executive Member for Town Centres, said: “Thank you to all officers and church leaders involved in organising this event. It is heartening to see the community of Hinckley coming together to celebrate the true spirit of Christmas. Everyone is very welcome to come along to this seasonal occasion and enjoy the festive atmosphere.”
