22-year-old Loughborough man charged with assault and dangerous driving in Burbage

A 22-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with assaulting a person, thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm, and driving a motor vehicle dangerously, police have confirmed.

The charge relates to an incident which took place in Burbage yesterday (Thursday, 17 November).

On the afternoon, at approximately 1pm, a customer at the nearby Hansom Cab pub on Brookfield Road told the Hinckley Free Press that they had spotted a policing presence after police officers had “started to swarm the area”.

Leicestershire Police confirmed that the 22-year-old man, who is from Loughborough, has been charged – and he is due to appear at Leicester Magistrates’ Court today.
