It was six months ago that the Hinckley Free Press broke the news regarding the plans for Nuneaton’s former Frankie & Benny’s restaurant, which had been vacant for two years.

However, the former Italian eatery is currently being transformed in to its newest lease of life, as Nuneaton’s very first Canadian eatery – with bosses officially confirming the plans for the site, revealing that it is set to open “later this year”.

Already well-loved by many in the Midlands – namely Leicester and Birmingham – Tim’s aim to please superfans and those who are yet to try their food for the first time.

Over 100 customers will be able to be seated inside, as they tuck in to freshly baked donuts, the beloved bitesize ‘Timbits®’ mini-donuts, delicious ‘Double Double’ coffees, lattice fries, wraps, burgers, and chicken tenders.

Newly-created drive-thru lanes have also been put into place, so customers who want to swing by for a quick cup of their famed coffee can do so without stopping in.

Fans urged to ‘keep their eyes peeled’

Fans of the chain are being urged to ‘keep their eyes peeled’ on the Canadian chain’s social platforms for more news regarding the opening date, as they are known for their ‘impressive’ opening giveaways on the opening day of their new restaurants.

Kevin Hydes, Chief Commercial Officer of Tim Hortons® franchise in the U.K commented: “We already have a huge fan base in the Midlands, so are particularly excited to bring Tim Hortons to Nuneaton for the first time.

“It’s in a fantastic location and we are expecting lots of interest from locals and those commuting through the area.

We are proud to be investing in the local community and are recruiting for a variety of full and part-time roles. We encourage local fans of Tim Hortons to keep an eye out for more news as we develop our plans.”
