HINCKLEY RESIDENTS have been urged to vote for the town’s parks to win a Green Flag ‘People’s Choice Award’, so it can be ranked in the ‘Top 10’ in the country.

Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council (HBBC) have reminded residents that they are able to cast votes for Argents Mead and Hollycroft Park, or both of them.
There are still a total of three weeks left to cast votes, as voting ends on 31 October.
A Council spokesperson told residents and park-goers ‘every vote helps’. They further added: “Over the last few years, more than ever, we have all come to understand just how important it is to have a great park or green space on our doorstep.
“They have been a place to escape to, meet friends, to exercise in or simply to have a quiet moment. “
Hinckley is a town which is no stranger to picking up Green Flag awards for its parks.
Both parks won the ‘prestigious’ accolades each earlier this year. And, Hollycroft Park has won 13 of the awards in total, whilst Argents Mead has won six of them.
