As we reported last month, planners at Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council (HBBC) gave plans the ‘thumbs up’ for the new takeaway outlet aimed at drivers.

Today (Sunday, 18 September), drivers and passers-by alike had noticed that the recently-approved takeaway outlet has started to be built, in the place of where an above ground LPG tank and blast wall used to be located.

As well as this, a new advertising banner installed by Greggs has been placed outside of the front of the petrol station, which reveals that it will open on November 3.

This would mark the fourth Greggs outlet in the borough. At present, they currently have locations on Castle Street, Britannia Centre, and Rainbow Way in Burbage.

Five employees would work full-time, and three other employees would work on a part-time basis, which means that eight new jobs will be created for the local area.

It would trade from 7am to 10pm on Monday to Friday, as well as on the weekends, and even the bank holidays.

But, at present, job recruitment website Indeed show that there are just three just available for the new location, which have been listed by Applegreen UK, who manage the petrol station.

These are as follows:

Greggs have stated that candidates applying for the roles will “be responsible for delivering our shared vision for the future of retail forecourts through the highest standards of customer service and quality products.”

Anybody interested in the positions are able to register their interest by clicking any of the above links, which will let them apply for the vacancies directly with Indeed.
