The Bond Gate-based cocktail bar quietly shut its doors some time in late 2020 to 2021, retaining everything inside, with no official announcement of a closure.

However, today (Saturday, 10 September), a brand new premises licence looking to serve alcohol once again was spotted on the front windows and doors of the bar.

A new Nuneaton-based group named Rrafaia Luxe 28 are seeking out permission from the Council to serve drinks from 10am to 12am from Sundays to Thursdays, where they would also play live and recorded music, with late night refreshments.

On Fridays through to Saturdays and some select special occasions, drinks would be served from 10am to 2am.

Some of the special occasions they want to trade on include Bank Holidays, Sundays before Bank Holiday Mondays, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve and Valentines Day.

Documents filed with corporate website Endole reveal that the Rrafaia Luxe 28 is owned by Mr. Altin Borici, a local carpenter who registered the company in July.

Any responsible authorities or individuals looking to make a representation in writing to the Borough Council’s Licensing Section have until 6 October.

It has been stressed that it is an offence to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement in connection with an application.
