Last week (Wednesday, 10 August), 17-year-old Kamron Wathall – also known as Kamron Smith – was reported as missing.

And, as the Hinckley Free Press had reported at the time, he was last seen in the town of Hinckley in the afternoon on the day – but he had not been seen since.

The report of his sudden disappearance had prompted both Hinckley police officers and members of his family members to be “extremely concerned” for his welfare.

Thankfully, Leicestershire Police officers have posted an update to their official social media channels today (Thursday, 18 August), revealing that he has been found ‘safe and well’ yesterday.

The force further thanked members of the public who helped to share their missing person appeal online.

It simply reads: “Kamron Wathall, who is also known as Kamron Smith, has been found safe and well.

“The 17-year-old was found in Hinckley yesterday (17 August).

“Thank you to everyone who helped shared our appeal to find Kamron.”
