Parking restriction put in place for next Monday on Sketchley Road in Burbage

A PARKING restriction is to be temporarily put in place on a road in Burbage for the day next Monday (22 August).

A Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO) is to be implemented on Sketchley Road, near Grove Road and Salem Road, on Monday.

The Highways Team at Leicestershire County Council (LCC) approved the day-long temporary parking restriction.

This is because it is as a ‘public safety’ measure so that the County Council are able to carry out some street light column replacement works, and any other associated highway works that they feel need to be sorted throughout the day.

According to online traffic map one.network, the road will still be accessible to drivers, but traffic in the area will be controlled by “give and take”. This type of traffic management sees one side of the road closed off, ‘tapering’ traffic into single file.
