A NEW electronic brochure has been created by Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council to help showcase all upcoming events to children, young people, and families this summer.

The in-depth guide, titled “What’s Going Down”, is available to download from the Council’s website. It features an array of events being held across the borough of Hinckley and Bosworth that can keep children busy during the school holidays.
Inside, there is information on sports activities, a reading challenge at some Leicestershire libraries, and even news about next week’s three-day long Snap Dragon Festival, which starts 3 August to 5 August, from 11am to 3pm each day.
A Council spokesperson suggested seeing if some of the venues that are included in the guide have any other activities lined up, as well as keeping up with changes, and checking if any ‘advanced booking’ is required for any of the events or not.
Coun. Robin Webber-Jones, the Borough Council’s Children and Young People’s Champion, said: “With many families taking the decision to ‘staycation’ at home this year I am delighted that once again we have been able to pull together this essential summer activity and event guide.
“It is a great resource with details on a wide range of activities and events for babies, children, young people and their families in Hinckley and Bosworth along with some helpful information and advice.
“With the cost of living increases I am sure that this guide will help families plan days out helping them to spread any financial cost although I am pleased to say many activities are free, please download and take a look.”
