A BRAND NEW Indian restaurant on High Street in Earl Shilton is officially opening its doors to customers for the first time tomorrow evening (Wednesday, 13 July).

The new eatery is named Vasaavi – and it has taken on the space of the former Torre de Hércules restaurant, which quietly closed down for good some weeks ago.
It is owned by Mr. Shajahan Miah. And, over the course of past weeks, a temporary banner was displayed atop the eatery, informing residents that it is “opening soon”.
To celebrate the opening, a 25 per cent discount is being honoured on both dine-in and delivery orders.
Those who enjoy a tipple with their food have been given advance notice that they must ‘bring their own bottle’ before heading in, as alcohol is not served up on site.
Customers will be served on a ‘first come, first serve’ basis, meaning that there is limited seating.
In a statement, a spokesperson for the restaurant explained: “Vasaavi will bring its offering of traditional and contemporary Indian dishes to the diners of Earl Shilton.
“The restaurant will open its doors on Wednesday 13th July 2022 at 6pm.
“Featuring a mix of authentic flavours and spice blends, the menu will showcase the most-loved and well known recipes from the Indian sub-continent.”
Those looking to make a reservation are able to do so by calling 01455 844041, or alternatively, by booking online at vasaavi.co.uk.
