Nuneaton’s branch of Warren James jewellers, based on Queens Road, will be refurbished starting next month, a sign posted on the shopfront window has confirmed.

At first glance, it initially looked like a store closure notice, as it highlighted ‘closing down’ in big, bold, capital letters. However, upon further glance, it states that it is only refurbishment works.

The announcement simply reads: “We are closing down…for refurbishment. Last day – Saturday 20th August… re-opening with a fabulous new look, and as always, our amazing for less jewellery.”

A timeframe for how long the refurbishment works will take place is not yet known at the time of publication (Thursday, 7 July).

As well as this, a well-established town centre jewellery business named Evans Jewellers are currently moving into the former Socialites vape shop next door.

Once open, this will serve an alternative for shoppers still looking to get their hands on some jewellery whilst Warren James’ store temporary closes.
