Police officers arrived at the scene of the incident on Wood Street at 4.23pm, at the request of their colleagues at East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS).

The man was assessed at the scene by the emergency services for a ‘minor puncture wound’ to his neck.

A Leicestershire Police spokesperson told the Hinckley Free Press that the man’s injury was not described as either life threatening, or life changing.
