A WELL-ESTABLISHED Hinckley town centre cafe are to re-locate from their current premises to a brand new location directly opposite their existing premises.

The Corner Cafe, which is currently based on Coventry Road, are officially confirmed to be the new tenants of the former Ironcraft store over the road on Regent Street.
The news was made public knowledge today (Wednesday, 29 June), when contractors had been spotted placing the new signage atop the unit, which reads “Corner Cafe – Est. 1997.” And, they confirmed that it was the same owners taking on the new space.
Signs of the unit being occupied once again were first noticed back on Sunday, 26 June by the Hinckley Free Press, when vinyl stickers had been displayed in the storefront window, showing off a selection of cakes, coffee and hot food.
Despite the Corner Cafe re-locating, they remain open at their current location until they fully complete their move on over into their new premises.
Google Maps states that customers have to walk one minute over the road from their existing site to the new site, but this is more than likely accounting for the waiting time from the traffic lights which are in the way.
The Corner Cafe were approached for comment, but did not respond to the Free Press about the move at the time of publication.
Meanwhile, also on Regent Street, a new bakery named Addylline are aiming to open inside the formerly Voodoo Lounge nightclub, inside the Highcross Building.
Over in Castle Street, a new coffeehouse named The Wild Lotus is “coming soon”, directly next to the Optical People, according to promotional signage.
Wild Lotus owners did state that they had plans to open their doors in July, but it is currently unknown if they will be open by this timeframe or not.
