One month ago – back on Thursday, 19 May – a man in his 50’s was cycling from Marston Lane down Nuneaton Road heading towards the Griff Roundabout at around 5.40am.

As the cyclist approached a speed camera, an unknown man on another bike is reported to have ‘rammed his bike’ into the victim’s bike – which resulted in the victim to flip over his handlebars.

Officers believe that a taxi driver helped the victim, who suffered injuries to his hand, which are thankfully thought not to be life-threatening.

Enquiries into the incident are still ‘currently ongoing’ – and the force are looking to hear from any witnesses or people who were in the area at the time.

A spokesperson for the force, said: “Anyone with information is asked to call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting incident number 232 of 19 May.”
