A ROAD in Burbage which was undergoing works from a water supplier will temporarily re-open tomorrow so that the Platinum Jubilee can be celebrated.

Local water supplier Severn Trent Water have revealed that they are to remove all diversion signage and road restrictions connected with works on Lychgate Lane.
This is to allow residents in the area to enjoy their bank holiday street parties and other celebrations with “unimpeded access”, including the Parish Council co-ordinated Platinum Jubilee street party this Sunday, on nearby Church Street.
The diversion is to be removed tomorrow night (June 1), but this will be put back in to place from 8am on Monday morning (June 6), just four days after.
A spokesperson for Burbage Parish Council, said: “The Parish Council has welcomed the generous gesture which will allow as many people as possible to enjoy the extended Jubilee bank holiday weekend.”
