The attempted robbery took place on Greenmoor Road in Nuneaton, at approximately 8pm yesterday evening (Tuesday, 3 May).

The suspect had engaged the victim, a teenage boy, in conversation, before he was hit over the head with a tyre and the suspect had attempted to make off with the bike.

The suspect had made off from the scene empty handed. And luckily, the victim was not badly hurt.

Officers have stated that the offender has been described as white, aged 15 to 16-years-old, wearing a full blue Nike tracksuit with white trainers.

The offender was last spotted carrying a bike tyre in hand as he was heading in the direction of Henry Street, which is about a two minutes’ walk from Greenmoor Road.

“There will also have been quite a few people in the area at the time who may be able to help with our enquiries.”

He further encouraged those with footage that can help with the investigation to get in touch with officers through the non-emergency police number of 101, quoting incident 355 of 3 May 2022.
