CHILDREN aged five and over will be able to recieve their Covid vaccines at walk-in sessions being held in Hinckley every week throughout the month of May.
The sessions will take place every Wednesday to Friday in May inside of the Hinckley Leisure Centre, located inside of Argents Mead park.
These sessions have been arranged by the Leicester City Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG).
Only doses of the Pfizer vaccine will be handed out.
Children aged 5 and over who are attending will be offered a single dose of the Pfizer vaccine.
They must be accompanied by parent or guardians, so that consent is able to be obtained.
If they have previously tested positive for coronavirus, children aged five and over will have to wait 12 weeks before being able to be handed their dose of the vaccine.
Adults who have tested positive will need to wait 28 days for the vaccine.
There is a wait time of 12 weeks between doses for 5 to 17 year olds, and 8 weeks for adults.
Two sessions will be held from Wednesday to Friday – with one being arranged for adults who are in need of their first dose, second dose, or booster.
The first, for those aged 16 and over, will be held from 12pm to 7pm.
The second is for those aged 5 and over can visit the afternoon session from 3.15pm to 7pm.
