TIM HORTONS have added their newly-announced Leicester drive-through location to the “Find a Tims” directory section on their official website – and they have announced a new detail.
It has been known for many months that the Canadian coffee giant are to take on the former Pizza Hut restaurant in the car park of the Sainsbury’s supermarket near Fosse Park and are to transform it into a drive-through restaurant.
But, in the listing on the Tim’s website for the new restaurant, the list of facilities for the planned site shows that the restaurant is to sport an outdoor seating area, which means that customers will be able to dine al-fresco with their coffee, doughnuts, or hot food.
At the time of publication (Sunday, 24 April), the only activity to have taken place so far at the site is the interior of the building being entirely gutted out, with all signs of its past identity as a Pizza Hut being removed for good.
No information has been provided as to when Tim’s will begin transforming the space or no time frame for when it could open its doors to hungry diners.
Meanwhile, over in Hinckley’s neighbouring town of Nuneaton, Tim Horton’s have registered plans with Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council (NBBC) to take over the former Frankie & Benny’s restaurant with a drive-through and dine-in facilities.
