TIM HORTON’S have officially announced today (14 April) that they will be opening a drive-through restaurant near the Sainsbury’s supermarket at Grove Farm Triangle in Enderby, in close proximity to the Fosse Park shopping complex.

As first reported by the Hinckley Free Press back in December, planning documents lodged with Blaby District Council show that it will be housed inside of the former Pizza Hut restaurant, which shut its doors quietly back in late November 2021.

It is set to open ‘later this year’, with an official opening date not currently announced at the time of publication.

And, it will mark the iconic coffee chain’s first drive-through locally and their second branch to open in the county, as they have an existing location on East Gates in Leicester city centre.

A spokesperson for Tim Horton’s has stated that the drive-through is opening as a result of their ‘ambitious’ growth plans, coupled with its popularity in the area.

The new restaurant will offer local fans and visitors even better access to its famed coffee and signature doughnuts, and even the brand’s exclusive tasty treat – Timbits®.

Over 50 jobs will be created for the local community, offering a combination of full-time and part-time roles with ‘impressive’ progression and training opportunities.

Some of these job listings were spotted by the Free Press earlier this month, when they were posted to job recruitment website Indeed.

It is part of the Canadian coffee giant’s plans to create 2,000 jobs across the country, which will see a Tim’s in every major town and city in the next year.

Coffee and doughnuts are not the only treats on offer – the branch will further serve up ‘delicious’ breakfast, lunch and evening meal options, including hot sandwiches, wraps and burgers.

The announcement also forms part of the brand’s plan to create over 2,000 jobs across the country, bringing Tim Hortons® restaurants to every major town and city in the next year.

Kevin Hydes, Chief Commercial Officer of Tim Hortons® franchise in the UK, said: “Having received such a positive response from our first flagship opening in the centre of Leicester, it’s been an easy decision for us to expand further into the city with a venue that has both a restaurant and drive-thru.

“We’ve received a lot interest from locals who know and love our offering, so we look forward to bringing our Canadian charm to even more people in the area, as well as offering the drive-thru service for those wanting to grab food and drink on the go.”

He concluded: “We are proud to be recruiting over 50 full and part-time roles and we welcome applications from all those passionate about a career in hospitality. We will be accepting applications from today via our website and look forward to connecting with the Leicester community.”

Tim’s are known for their ‘impressive’ giveaways when they open new locations, so locals and avid fans in Leicestershire are being encouraged to keep their eyes peeled by following Tim Horton’s UK on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for more details.
