AN ITALIAN inspired eatery held a night of entertainment in their brand-new location last night (12 April), as they celebrated their first restaurant opening in two and a half years.

Local influencers, and friends and family of Zizzi were all invited to the Food Central-based eatery, where samples of the newly-launched mouthwatering menu were handed out, in addition to complimentary beverages.
Those in attendance were treated to a stand-up performance from award-winning comedian Jarred Christmas, who had everyone roaring with laughter throughout his set – with his witty one-liners and much-loved audience participation.
Advocates from the restaurant’s charity partner, The Mental Health Foundation, were in attendance collecting donations from generous guests who wanted to help support a good cause.
Guests were offered tasters of canape mini versions of the new dishes as well as refreshing Passion Fruit Cocktail and Raspberry Mint Softail, and bottles of Nastro Azzuro and other bottled beers.
Tymur Khasanov, General Manager of Zizzi Fosse Park, said: “Since opening Zizzi Fosse Park two weeks ago, we’ve loved seeing customers enjoying the new restaurant and share happy times over our delicious dishes.
“The event was a celebration of the restaurant opening and we can’t wait to continue welcoming new and existing customers through the doors.”
Sarah Tite, Fundraising Director, Mental Health Foundation said: “We are delighted to be working alongside Zizzi.
“Connection with others is invaluable to our mental health and that’s what dining at Zizzi is all about. It was wonderful to be part of the Zizzi Fosse Park launch event. Thank you to everyone who donated.”
The Mental Health Foundation has been the UK’s leading charity for everyone’s mental health since 1949, with prevention at the heart of what they can do, as they aim to find and address the sources of mental health problems so that people and communities can thrive.
The Foundation is the home of Mental Health Awareness Week, which runs from 9 May to 15 May.
Zizzi Fosse Park has created an impressive total number of 40 new local jobs in the area- and it can seat 122 overall keen diners, with 94 seats inside and 28 outside, with an al-fresco offering.
The new local restaurant takes inspiration from modern British and rustic Italian design creating a laid-back cool interior which reflects Zizzi’s fun warm rustic Italian personality.
The next Zizzi restaurant to open is Lancaster – due to open its doors early May.
