Last Sunday (6 March), at approximately 3am, police officers recieved reports of a suspect trying car door handles around the Copper Drive area of Burbage, near the Hansom Cab pub.

There have not yet been any reports of damage or thefts in the area relating to this report.

But now, Burbage Police Community Support Officer (PCSO), Darren Stretton, is appealing for anybody with CCTV camera footage to send him an email, in order to obtain a ‘good facial image’ of the suspect.

Those with CCTV footage are able to email him at darren.stretton@leics.police.uk.

PCSO Stretton further stressed the importance of investing in removing valuables, and even suggested investing in a steering lock, or RFID wallet.

He said: “[This report does] show the importance of ensuring you lock your vehicle, remove any valuables and get a steering lock [and] car key wallet if possible.”
